ART LESSON ON LINE

Dear Blessed,

Good day! Praised be Jesus and Mary!

Since we will have a long vacation, I want you to continue doing things that will enhance your knowledge and skills in ART. Supposedly our lesson next week is all about colors, I want you to explore by applying the learning you gained through this interaction through MY LECTURE ON blog…

Colors are the most important elements in art…it gives life to a drawing.

The Classification of colors;

1. Primary Colors – the source of other colors.

RED BLUE YELLOW

2. Secondary Colors – the combination of two equal amounts of primary colors.

GREEN VIOLET ORANGE

3. Intermediate colors – combination of an equal amount of one secondary and one primary color.

RED ORANGE, RED VIOLET, BLUE GREEN, BLUE VIOLET, YELLOW GREEN, YELLOW ORANGE

MONOCHROMATIC COLORS - THESE GROUP OF COLORS USES ONE COLOR IN VARIED HUES LIKE BLUE, LIGHT BLUE, DARK BLUE.

ART ACTICITY #1 For Blessed Virgin

Materials – oil pastel, oslo paper, pencil

Procedure

1. Draw two figures on the center, make your drawings occupy the spaces.

2. Draw vertical and horizontal lines across your drawing.

3. Using monochromatic colors, apply colors on the figures your draw and in all the shapes formed in your drawing as your background. Be sure to use only the MONOCROMATIC GROUP OF COLORS. Please refer to the artwork posted. Thanks to Juan Carlos Javier.

4. After coloring, use your black oil pastel to highlight the outlines of your drawing.

For me, this blog serves as a means of introducing a new approach on how St. Mary's Academy delivers information and knowledge. A sign of a total development of the school's academic system.
