Overweight means having excess body fat which can come from muscles, bones, fat or body water but obesity specifically relates to excess body fat percentage..

To classify as overweight, a person requires a BMI of 25 to 29.9. In order to determine a person's BMI, you generally just take the body weight divided by the square of their height. This gives us an idea of how much excess fat someone is carrying. A person with a BMI of 20 to 24.9 is generally considered to be within the normal healthy range of a human being. Some athletes, especially bodybuilders may have a higher BMI, but this usually doesn't mean that they are carrying too much fat.

Obesity is a condition where a person's BMI is excessively high, between 30 and 39.9. This is considered to be even more dangerous than being merely overweight. Obviously, the pattern is basically the higher the BMI, the more likely to be unhealthy you are.

Overweight and obesity are both labels for ranges of weight that are greater than what is generally considered healthy for a given height.

tapos i2 pa po sr..
kapag ang height ay..:5’ 9”
weight range:169 lbs to 202 lbs
BMI:25.0 to 29.9
considered as..:Overweight

kapag obese...
height: 5' 9"
weight range:203 lbs or more
BMI:30 or higher
considered as:Obese

kaya sr.. ang overweight ay sobra na nga sa weight at BMI pero ang obese nga super sobra na sa weight at BMI at baka ndi cla healty...

Healthy nutrition requires a balance of food, vitamins, and minerals (from eating a healthy diet) and physical activity. Overweight and obesity can result if things get out of balance—such as eating too much food, not getting enough physical activity, or having too much of one or more nutrients in the diet.

Overweight is often used interchangeably with pre-obese and is generally defined as having more body fat than is optimally healthy. Being overweight is a common condition, especially where food supplies are plentiful and lifestyles are sedentary.

Obesity is a medical condition in which excess body fat has accumulated to the extent that it may have an adverse effect on health, leading to reduced life expectancy.[1][2] Body mass index (BMI), which compares weight and height, is used to define a person as overweight (pre-obese) when their BMI is between 25 kg/m2 and 30 kg/m2 and obese when it is greater than 30 kg/m2.[3]

Good day Sr. Abon,
Praise Be Jesus And Mary

This is my opinion for your question" What is the difference between obese to overweight":

Overweight is weighing more than is normal, necessary, or allowed, especially having more body weight than is considered normal or healthy for one's age or build. Over heaviness.

Obesity is the condition of being obese; increased body weight caused by excessive accumulation of fat. A bodily condition marked by excessive generalized deposition and storage of fat.

Overweight and obesity have one thing in common that is excess body weight that is weight greater than what is considered ideal according to a person's height and built. Overweight means having excess body fat which can come from muscles, bones, fat or body water but obesity specifically relates to excess body fat percentage.

Overwieght and obesity may be said as the same thing, though there is a difference. Overweight refers to being fat but it doesn't harm your systems that much but, obesity is a different thing it refers to being fat at the same time might cause a really harmful disease.
